Last May 7-9,2020 (BCP) British Council Philippines conducted a three days talks and a rich discussions regarding the craft sector on so many things to do with it to compete globally and locally. Part of the said event is a peek of some designs related organizations in Cebu; Kenneth Cobonpue showroom, Fablab UP Cebu, and Nature’s Legacy Showroom. On its second day a number of 240 delegates headed by the Country Director, Pilar Aramayo-Prudencio had a quick tour at NLE Main
showroom.

BCP –British Council Philippines The British Council is the UK’s international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities. They create friendly knowledge and understanding between the people of the UK and other countries. They do this by making a positive contribution to the UK and the countries they work with – changing lives by creating opportunities, building connections, and engendering trust.

Last year they reached over 65 million people directly and 731 million people overall including online, broadcasts, and publications. Founded in 1934, they are a UK charity governed by the Royal Charter and a UK public body.

They have been in the Philippines since 1978. Every year, they reach out to thousands of students, educators, policymakers, academics, researchers, creatives, and entrepreneurs in the Philippines.

Also one of the visitors is Eric Oteyza de Guia, better known as Kidlat Tahimik , is a film director, writer and actor whose films are commonly associated with the Third Cinema movement through their critiques of neocolonialism.
