For many years, its been part of NLE practices to start the work with “Chapel morning activities”- wherein the employees gathered in the factory chapel at 7:45 in the morning. This will be a great venue to pray together and at the same time, the team leaders could able to address their production plans and goal for the day. To unfreeze and prepare physically for the heavy work for the entire day, it will be followed immediately with a body exercise.
But now, due to the evolving situation, of the COVID-19 outbreak, Nature's Legacy is implementing protocols that aim to prevent and control the spread of the virus and continue the business under the “new norms". That is why presently, during the “chapel morning activities” employees should observe physical distancing which requires 1-2 persons only per pew and wearing of a mask is a must.
For the exercise, from a more physical, which involves more body movements, it now change to a calm and relaxing way which called a “breathing exercise”- this kind of exercise is helpful in boosting one's immune system that is timely and relevant in fighting against the global health problem we are facing right now. Nature’s Legacy is one of many companies affected by COVID -19. Mid of March this year the company decided to temporarily stop the factory operation and has to follow with the community quarantine mandated by the government.
It panicked the employees and their families. They couldn’t earn money to support their daily needs. But vegetable gardening became a weapon against lost income. They make utilize of the back yard of the NLE housing to plant for nutritious vegetables. During the quarantine period, gardening lessen their expenses at the same time provide fresh and healthy vegetables to serve on the table and it gives them joy and happiness seeing the fruit of their labors and sharing it with the neighbors.
It also strengthens the bond of the families, by cultivating and watering the plants together this gives them more time with each other and a good exercise as well. Since they have enough food supply from the plants they planted, they no longer go out to the market, to keep safe from the virus and to follow the quarantine protocol.

Another achievement for Nature’s Legacy as its President and CEO,Mr. Pete H. Delantar won 2nd prize for the Outstanding Industrial Design Category on his invention( Bamboo Armchair for School) during the 2020 National Invention Contest And Exhibits. This was Held at SMX Convention Center Aura, Taguig City last 3-5 of March. Aside for the NICE trophy, he also received P100,000.00 amount of cash prize.
